Alissa Schöler is a physiotherapist and PhD candidate at Coventry University, specialising in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance enhancement. Her work bridges clinical practice and academic research, with a particular focus on the role of neck function in athletic performance and long-term health.
Alissa has extensive experience in musculoskeletal health, both as a physiotherapist and coach. Her clinical work includes assessment, treatment, and the development of rehabilitation plans, alongside leading internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and content creation for health-focused platforms. In corporate health management, she has delivered seminars, ergonomic workplace coaching, and personalised physical health programmes.
Her current PhD research investigates neck musculature in football players, exploring assessment strategies and the role of neck strength in player health and injury risk. Through this work, she aims to advance evidence-based approaches to athlete care and contribute to performance-focused rehabilitation practices in elite sport.
